A Little Bit About Me...

Hello and Welcome!

I'm Amanda Rosentel, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), owner of New You Therapy, LLC. I received my Master's in Social Work from Marywood University. My background is working with children in elementary/middle/high schools, outpatient therapy, therapist at nursing homes, and now private practice owner. I specialize in ADHD and Couples Counseling. Currently, working towards becoming certified in ADHD.

I am me, a mother, wife, therapist and life coach. I enjoy spending time with my kids, date nights, time to myself, working with clients, reading, music, dancing, researching efficient products, organizing, day trips, decorating for holidays, meeting new people, relaxing at home, getting rid of "stuff," laughing and having fun! It's all about balance.

I'm not your typical therapist, my style is very eclectic, and I pull concepts from every area of my life. Whether I have to use my own trauma as an example or show you the scientific facts, I will help you to feel connected to the work we are doing together and cared for during this process. Anxiety, depression and emotional trauma have been part of my life since I was 13 years old. My struggles with ADHD officially surfaced in my mid-30's. I'm no stranger to the horrible struggles that come with mental health.

I know how debilitating it can feel, and never want others to feel the emotional pain I've felt. I've learned ways to cope, ways to work through and function more effectively. I've done my own therapy, homework and self exploration, and have come to work with my brain instead of against it. It would be an honor to help you to do the same, in your own way. I have created my own set of rules that work for me, now let's find yours.

Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. I know the therapy process can be overwhelming, but we can tackle that obstacle together. Sometimes texting or emailing is easier than making a phone call. Try it out and see what happens, or fill out the contact form, a simple "I need help," can go a long way.

Hope to talk to you soon! :)
